DIY Wooden block sign
Supplies: 1. Piece of scrap wood about 2 inches longer than your metal word 2. Stain (color shown dark mahogany) 3. White paint (acrylic light buttermilk) 4. Glue gun 5. Precut metal word (mine is from Hobby Lobby) 6. Clear sealant -optional Instructions 1. Stain the front and back of your piece of wood -allow to completely dry 2. Lightly paint or white wash the top of the board with the white -allow to dry 3. Sand around the edges and some of the stain if you want a little aged look and to smooth the rough parts of the wood 4. Apply the clear sealant you can use a brush on or a spray poly works too (optional) allow to dry 5. Hot glue the metal word to the top 6. Your finished! I hope you enjoy your gorgeous new sign!!
